Transit Treasure prides itself on protecting the privacy of its members. This Privacy Policy applies to www.transittreasure.com. The Privacy Policy becomes effective upon acceptance by a prospective member during the registration process for registering new members and is effective as of the date noted above for Transit Treasure members.
Any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy can be directed via email to TT at privacy@transittreasure.com.
Why We Collect Data
TT affirms to communicate only with those members who have given us their express permission to do so by opting-in during the enrollment process to receive email-marketing communications. TT works diligently to take all appropriate and reasonable measures that we believe will keep the personal information of our member's safe and secure. Our business model is predicated on delivering meaningful and valuable marketing communications to our members and we have the highest level of success when we direct those messages to members who are interested in receiving such communications. You have the ability to opt-out from receiving these email communications; please see the "Choice/Opt-out" section below. TT controls all email and direct communication with its members - no member will ever be contacted directly from a third party unless they previously provided express consent for such.
TT does not share, sell, rent or trade personal information with third parties other than as disclosed within this Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Company.
Data Collection
TT collects both personal and non-personal information both upon registration and throughout a members' time in the program. The purpose of collecting such information is to provide our members with a customized, personalized experience that is most likely to be of interest to a specific individual.
During registration we collect personally identifiable information about you such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number, public transit entry and exit point, and, your credit card number and expiration date to accurately track your interaction with the program. We also collect demographic information about you such as your age and gender.
Data Collection after Registration
From time to time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests, sweepstakes or surveys. If you choose to participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information. Participation in these activities is voluntary giving our members the choice as to whether they decide to disclose the information requested. Most prizes will be in the form of miles and applied directly to a members' account. If a physical prize is issued, it will be delivered to the members' mailing address on file.
Use of Members' Data
TT will not sell or otherwise deliberately provide the personal or non-personal information of any member to anyone unrelated to the TT program, except as allowed by an individual member pursuant to the "opt-in" options presented to a member during enrollment. When we do share data with our Merchant Partners or a third-party, if you have given express consent of such, it is in an aggregate form designed to ensure you are not identified personally. If you do choose to participate in an offer or promotion as offered by a Merchant Partner or other third-party, we may, from time to time, disclose your relevant personal, but not identifiable, information to help the Merchant Partner or other third-party better understand with whom it transacts. It is also important to note that we do analyze your personal information in an effort to provide you with the most meaningful, applicable communications as possible. The success of TT is heavily dependent on its use of email and mobile marketing. To maximize the benefits available to them as members of a loyalty program, members are encouraged to "opt-in" to receive communications from TT. To further protect our members, each email contains an "unsubscribe" link that allows members to opt-out of the receipt of future emails.
Service-related Announcements
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.
Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Customer Service
Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in the response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account.
Updating or Correcting Personally Identifiable Information and Email Address
If your personally identifiable information or email address changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct or update it by making the change within the "My Account" tab on the website or by emailing our Customer Service team at customerservice@transittreasure.com.
Changes to Our Policy or Email Practices
If we decide to change our privacy or email practices, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we change how we use your personally identifiable information, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage.
Security Procedures
The security of your personal information and email address is important to us. When you enter sensitive information such as credit card number on our registration form within the enrollment section of our site, our third party service provider encrypts that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personally identifiable information and email address submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
